Lisa & Arthur - Hycroft Wedding

Lisa + Arthur had their wedding day at the ever so luxurious Hycroft Manor. Known for it’s elegance and fine quality structure. Hycroft is one of our favourite places to shoot because it offers the ideal setting for an elegant and intimate wedding ceremony indoors and out. Hycroft sits atop Vancouver’s prestigious Shaughnessy neighbourhood and is known for it’s grand and luxurious interior.

The venue was really a perfect fit for the two of them. Enabling an apt representation of the couple and their personality. Sophisticated yet fun loving. Evoking class and luxury. It is one of the most historic buildings in Vancouver. Created in the Edwardian era enduring traditional themes throughout.

The couple keeping intact with tradition, yet a different kind; a tea ceremony. In the traditional Chinese marriage ceremony, the bride and groom kneel in front of their respective parents and serve them tea and then thank them, which is a devout way to express their gratitude for being raised. An essential to do before the main ceremony.

Lisa + Arthur held their day on the expansive covered terrace overlooking the city. Perfect for a warm summers day. Conveniently the ornamental private gardens are in close proximity, which provide a romantic hideaway for your wedding ceremony. The lush seasonal blooms, flowering shrubs, and manicured lawns are the perfect backdrop for wedding photos.

Hycroft gives you versatility for both indoor and outdoor photographs. Replicating Romeo and Juliet with a stone balcony kiss. We were able to really emphasise Lisa’s dress with the grand staircase. She wore a bandeau dress, all luxurious lace. The fine detail really demonstrated the intricacy.

As the sun set, the we were able to get some really beautiful shots by the lake in the golden hour. (Our favourite time to shoot!) It really allows for the best, most intimate bride and groom shots.

Make sure to take a look at their glorious images.
